Meet the Author and Illustrator

ABOUT PHILLIP E. MAHONEY (aka Phil!)

Phil is a children’s book author and illustrator who currently lives in the Kansas City area. He strives to inspire kids to learn, be imaginative, and to have fun.

In 2015, he graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in bioengineering where he learned about nature and technology. While working in technical careers, he wanted to follow his creative passion and began writing poetry and drawing. His wife, Miranda, encouraged him to delve deeper into his storytelling and artistic skills, which gave him the push he needed to start writing children’s books.

When he is not working, Phil loves watching movies with Miranda, going on adventures, and drinking coffee. 😋
